Clinical Research Study
Clinical Evaluation of a 4-in-1 ART Prototype

Acute respiratory infections
(ARI), which can include symptoms such as coughing, sore throat, nasal
obstruction, and fever, are common diseases treated in primary medical care.
Whilst these infections often manifest mild symptoms, early detection or
diagnosis allows timely intervention through appropriate treatment and where
warranted, deters any possible outbreak of transmissible pathogens through
mitigation efforts.
Current gold standard in diagnosis and surveillance of respiratory pathogens employs reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR), which is a laboratory-based assay. We are having a study to evaluate a self-administering rapid test kit for the detection of four common respiratory pathogens (SARS-CoV-2, Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), Influenza A and Influenza B) with nasal swab. Results generated from the study would be informative on the performance of the test kit.
