SIMTech Manufacturing Innovation & Technology Conference


On 5th & 6th September 2024, the SIMTech Manufacturing Innovation & Technology Conference was held at JTC CleanTech 2A, organised by A*STAR SIMTech, sponsored by Applied Total Control, CADVision Systems, Dnetics, Dou Yee Technologies, InnoArk, Innovax Technologies, JM Vistec System, Enviro Hub, RS Components and supported by Enterprise Singapore, SPETA and JTC Corporation.
The event, themed “Advancing the Local Manufacturing Ecosystem through Innovation & AI”, brought together approximately 200 guests comprising industry leaders, trade associations, public agencies and institutes of higher learning, to explore the latest advancements in precision engineering, smart manufacturing, sustainability, and product innovation, as we embrace Industry 5.0. Mr Alvin Tan, Minister of State, Ministry of Trade and Industry, also graced the event as guest-of-honour.

The programme featured highlights including the Applied Materials – A*STAR APEX Joint Lab Signing Ceremony, which marked another step in the deepening partnership between Applied Materials and A*STAR, and a significant milestone in driving innovation and industrial transformation in manufacturing technology.
Participants also toured the key A*STAR SIMTech facilities: the Next-Gen Manufacturing Process Lab, Innovation Factory (IF), Model Factory, Sustainable Manufacturing Centre (SMC), and Additive Innovation Centre (AIC) – seeing first-hand A*STAR SIMTech’s work in advancing innovation and technology in manufacturing.
The MITC 2024 marks a key achievement in strengthening research-industry collaboration and advancing innovation in our manufacturing ecosystem.
